If black socks caused my toes/skin to turn black, how do I remove the dye?

Question: I was wearing black socks one day while working and my shoes got soaking wet, but I had to continue wearing them. When I returned home I took my socks off to find that they turned a few of my toes black...
Answer: scrub it off, sugar scrub, salt. in the future wash new socks before wearing them? (im assuming they were new)? ive never heard of that happening unless they were new jeans, shirt, whatever lol
