The carnival at Pandan Indah Park was in full swing when the dark side showed up.

Taking a break from battling Luke Skywalker and the Jedi, Darth Vader, Darth Nihilus and their army of stormtroopers, sandtroopers, AT-ST pilots, royal guards and everyone’s favourite bounty hunter Boba Fett decided to spend a day at the carnival.

As the sinister notes of Imperial March were struck, the enemy marched in and proceeded to... do charity work!

For a price, Star Wars fans could have a photo taken with the characters. The money would go to Hope Worldwide Kuala Lumpur.

Hope Worlwide KL executive director Katy Lee said: “We are an international charity organisation which is helping the poor in Sentul get free medical treatment at Hope Free Clinic here.

“The carnival was organised to raise funds to sustain our current programme, which supports the free clinic and food distribution initiative for poor families in Sentul.

“Every month, we help out 70 poor families by supplying them with basic food necessities like rice, flour, cooking oil, sugar, biscuits, milk powder and so on.
